BlockchainExpo 2019 in Amsterdam

Had a super exciting ride moderating a debate on the exponential effects of tech convergence at BlockchainExpo 2019 in Amsterdam https://lnkd.in/ejeUkFd with most praised thought leaders in their industries. Harry Behrens, PhD presented Daimler advances that will bring fleets of intelligent (of course autonomous!...) cars soon on the road. Vincent Doumeizel restored our faith in the quality of food ensured by Blockchain and IoT through tracking from farm to grocery. Carlos Kuchkovsky added the quantum spice to the equation talking about advanced research he leads at BBVA to speed up clearing and settlements while keeping money secure and returning the value created from data to those who created it! As I was wondering what is still missing from the "convergence stack" Aron van Ammers told us about the recent Smart Dubai project championed by Outlier Ventures. He called on startups to consider innovations that fill the gaps still left in the stack. Realizing the smart city is indeed the ultimate test and achievement of tech convergence we all agreed to collaborate and bring the tech pieces together while using the power of convergence "for good" - by deploying applications ethically to improve peoples lives.
