Twitter, "This Is The World to Make Internet Currency"

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey announced additional features of bitcoin deposits to Twitter's remittance app, "Cash App" on Wednesday. Although Bitcoin was previously available for sale at Cash App, Bitcoin deposit function will be newly added this time.

Cash App's deposit convention sets the upper limit of the seven-day total deposit at approximately 11 million won ($10,000). The cash app also said Bitcoin payments could take several hours because of its need to increase the number of confirmation blocks to be approved on blockchain.

Dorsey, who has been a supporter of Bitcoin, argues that "now is the time to create an Internet currency that can be used worldwide. Virtual currencies can't be anything other bitcoin due to its simple and popular nature to the public. The internet currency should exist for the world and for people, not by corporations or governments," he added, providing side-by-side support for Facebook's Libra project.

Square has recently been one of the companies that actively deals with the speed improvement of bitcoin development, including hiring Steve Lee, who has led various teams from the IT giant Google to develop the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
