Capital raised from VC's, platforms, and the industry

How the startup and innovation ecosystem responds over the next few months is essential to the continued success of the space.

If you think about the last 5 years, we have seen record amounts of capital raised from VC's, platforms, and the industry. CoWorking spaces established, Governments becoming significantly involved, Corporates either setting up their own accelerator/incubator programs or hiring companies to do it for them.

As a platform, we have been fortunate enough to play a role in what has become a boom in startups and Founders. Australian companies have been kicking goals overseas, and the ASX played its role as a place for growth companies to access capital.

Over the last month, our world has changed, and we are unsure how long this will take to unfold. With this uncertainty, the ecosystem needs to support each other. We need to go from competing for our own turf to aligning because undoubtedly, the participants will shrink.

We can't take what has been built for granted, nor the people we have attracted.

We are in this space because we are optimists who believe in a better future, and we will work 24/7 to make that a reality. We will be doing our best to make the companies, investors and participants we work with as visible as possible.
