EICHorizonPrize ‘Blockchain for Social Good

Very excited to be back to Bruxelles this week for the #EICHorizonPrize ‘Blockchain for Social Good’ launched by the European Commission.

The initiative has been a great way to map the European ecosystem and review Blockchain and other DLT projects that aim at generating impact in social and public sectors. On Monday we attended the presentation of the 23 finalists, involving different areas: traceability & fair trade, transparency of public processes & management of public records, decentralised circular economy, financial inclusion, aid & philanthropy, energy, health & quality content.

Some applications were very promising. The winners will be announced shortly.
