Technology isn’t the issue, it is the enabler. Education helps consumers to understand risks, choices, prices and consequences. There are a few mega trend in China.

1: Tremendous growth on asset management in China, the market will become a second largest In the world, second to USA.

2: Transfer of wealth ~ 30 trillion in China from older to younger generation, generating fintech products and services that we don’t have today.

3: Fintech is making various tools available to the wider population. The panelists also discussed listing issues : Once listed, your life change dramatically from a private to public.

The differences between China and USA market on Fintech is that in China it is all about building Ecosystem, universal tools such as Wechat Pay. In the USA, there is no universal system but distinct solutions focusing on different aspects.

Fintech companies in China that wish to explore the market in USA needs to aware the different business models.
