OCBC AI Scholarship

Yesterday, we welcomed 24 OCBC Scholars and their parents to the OCBC Family at the annual OCBC Scholarship Award Ceremony. Since the launch of our OCBC Scholarship programme about 20 years ago, we have been providing financial assistance to support young Singaporeans in their pursuit of tertiary education, dreams and passion. It is our way of creating lasting value for those who represent the future of our country, and we will continue to do so. This year, we introduced two new scholarship programmes – OCBC Regional Undergraduate Scholarship and OCBC AI Scholarship for post graduates. The expansion to the region is reflective of OCBC’s growing regional presence. The AI Scholarship is another step we are taking to grow the AI talent pool as a strategic capability to bring greater value to our stakeholders. I shared with our scholars our OCBC Core Values - Lasting Value, Integrity, Forward Looking, Respect and Responsibility, and encouraged them to embrace and live these values as they navigate through challenges in life. I believe that these values will set them apart from their peers in the long term just as how the values have guided us through many financial crises and made us what we are today.
