The U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has revealed in a report known to the Treasury Department, an umbrella organization of the IRS, suggesting requests for cooperation from conglomerates such as Google and Apple to prevent virtual currency tax evasion. It is said that a user's app is requested to submit a download history, etc.

This material, produced in 181 slides, is in accordance with James Daniels, who is in charge of criminal measures by the U.S. Tax Service. It is gives an overview of virtual currency/blockchain and is aimed at explaining cybercrime. Meanwhile, it is unclear whether the slide really came from the U.S. tax office.

In the slide, the U.S. Tax Administration (IRS) mentions the possibility of demanding Apple, Google and Microsoft submit the download history of taxpayers' money-related applications to investigate tax evasion. Banks with accounts held by taxpayers are also being investigated, and the scope of the investigation will be expanded to credit card and PayPal payments used.

It also states that when it is difficult to obtain information such as a taxpayer's Bitcoin wallet or secret code, it can access individual Twitter or Facebook's accounts. It is seen as evidence that the U.S. tax agency's tax evasion measures will begin.

Laura Walter, a certified public accountant posted on her Twitter account regarding her views on IRS. She tweeted about the possibility of the U.S. tax office acquiring taxpayer's personal information without obtaining his permission.
