ProptechEurope- the best conference Ive been to recently High-profile people, serious startups, open and honest dialogues about various challenges faced by this very conservative and traditional industry. Key highlights: - Blockchain and tokenization of real-world assets is a hot topic - Surprisingly, I did not see many VR/AR startups as expected - Data is another big topic, too - Regulations is a main challenge facing proptech industry. And I agreed. - Proptech today is like Fintech/Insurtech 5-10 years ago- said VCs - Lots of money around competing for great startups to invest. - Valuation in Europe tend to be much lower than in the US and Asia.( By Asia, I guess it was meant "China" or more developed Chinese markets such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan) - The understanding of Asian market by European players is VERY limited. And thats why we are here to help bridge the gap between Asia and Europe. The long-awaited free trade agreement between Vietnam and Eu has just been signed which opens endless opportunities for Vietnamese companies to enter Eu market and vice-versa.
