APPG-Blockchain group

Great honour and not least pleasure to sit for the first time in Parliament yesterday evening as Permanent Advisory Board member of the APPG-Blockchain group chaired by Damien Moore MP, Lord Truscott, Martin Docherty-Hughes MP and Prof. Birgitte Andersen or Fernando Santiago of the Big Innovation Centre. The APPG-Blockchain group has emphatically imposed itself as one of the most active APPGs of Parliament together with that of AI. A great achievement. Yet as pointed out during the board meeting, a critical approach is necessary if we want to see these new technologies (and other new ones like Quantum Computing), have a true impact on society. My personal intervention was a request for more education on blockchain as I was surprised recently to see how Bitcoin is still the only way people connect to Blockchain...even in the higher circles of the digital world.
