Bitcoin Searches in the U.S. Outnumbers Election Results Searches

The U.S. exchange's Coinbase released its latest report which showed Bitcoin searches outnumbered election results.

One of the most interesting thing about this data is the number of Bitcoin searches on Google. According to the survey, Americans have been searching more for "Bitcoin" in the past year than for "election results" and "royal wedding."

The top five states with highest searches for Bitcoin were as follows:

#1 Nevada

#2 Hawaii State

#3 California

#4 Washington State

#5 New York State

In addition, according to a survey, when given the list of cryptocurrency, 58 percent of the U.S. respondents said they had heard about bitcoin. 37% of the respondents who were asked the same questions said they knew Bitcoin, even without presenting any list of cryptocurrency.

The results show that while there is a growing interest in cryptocurrency, about half of Americans are not yet aware of it. However, if the cryptocurrency becomes more popular in the future, the result may be positive, which will help boost the market.

The following is the ranking of regions with a large number of cryptocurrency holders. The ratio of the number of bitcoin holders to the population, and the top five states with a high proportion are:

#1 California

#2 New Jersey

#3 Washington State

#4 New York

#5 Colorado

Among these five states, excluding Colorado and New Jersey, are also the top search area, as shown above. One of those surveyed expected that it would someday become like a global foreign exchange system, citing the fact that money transfers between countries do not require high commission fees and the rapid pace of money transfers due to the retention of cryptocurrency.

Meanwhile, a survey on people's willingness to buy cryptocurrency also showed that 15 percent of Americans said they would buy it in the future in somewhat likely or very likely range.

In addition, in the next six months, New Jersey is becoming the state with the largest number of potential buyers for virtual currency. New Jersey ranked second in terms of the number of Bitcoin holders and shows a high interest in cryptocurrency.
