North America's Largest Solar-Powered Cryptocurrency Mining Pump Will Be Constructed in California.
Plouton Mining, a California-based cryptocurrency mining company, announced on Wednesday that it will build the largest BTC-making machine in North America.
Plouton mining will install solar panels in about 49 acres of the Mojave Desert in California (which is owned by the company--about 19,008,296 square meeter) and plans to run them an average of 12 hours a day at a speed of 10 to 13 megawatts of electricity a day.
The planned construction site was considered a strength in that the average annual sunshine rate is about 70 percent and reportedly plans to sign a contract with a local power company to resolve the problem with requiring excess electricity supply at night as the company can secure power at low costs even after the sunset.
Ramak J. Sedigh, the CEO of Plauton Mining stated, "the optimal combination of nature and technology will lead BTC Mining to the next stage of evolution and realize its BTC potential as a sustainable distributed transaction network. It is also a great honor to provide people with the opportunity to participate in the cryptoeconomy without buying cryptocurrency mining facilities.
