The cryptocurrency exchange, GateHub, urged caution that victims of phishing emails are being identified on its exchanges at '@gatehub.com' and '@gatehub.net' The phishing email has been increasing in alarming numbers from June 10th-11th.

The contents of the phishing email states, "Critical Security Warning / Action Required – New Secured Wallets - new secure Wallets" and urges for transfer of the coins to the new wallet address. However, this wallet address appears to be a phishing email and is intended to exploit the customer's assets at Gatehub.

The problem is that there are many similar domain types, making it difficult for users to distinguish exchange e-mail addresses from phishing e-mail addresses, even if they are trying to be cautious.

The Gatehub exchange suffered from more than 23 million ripple (XRP) of hacking damage, which is worth about 10 billion won. This reported phishing email is a way to exploit users.

GatesHub warns against sending the coins to suspicious addresses in the email and stated, "never send confidential information or password via email."

Thus, this is not just a matter of the GateHub exchange, but an issue that could possibly occur on all other exchanges, and users must pay attention.

The following are actual phishing emails sent over@gatehub.com as reported by GateHub:
