Professor Byung Wan Cho of Hanyang University is proposing a blockchain-based civilism, in which the workers and the people come first in the power before the prime minister, president, and other higher authorities.

Professor Cho said, “with our current national policy system, there could only be corruption and only blockchain democracy will stop those negativities.”

Professor Byung Wan Cho claimed, "Usually, in democracy or communism, a president or a prime minister is the one with the ruling power. However, I propose the general public and those who work in the silence to become the subject of power in the blockchain-based, democratic and civilized society.”

Professor Cho added, "The main problem of the growing social polarization arises from the concentration of centralized information and power. Due to the insatiable desires, politicians break their promise to put the citizens first. It is a sad reality for the most countries where there are full of corruption and social inequality. Not to mention, I can see there is a hope of resolving problems caused from politics and economy through blockchain and decentralized information, which will increase fairness, self-participation, trust, and validation.”

He think that young people these days are familiar with information and communication technology (ICT) all over the world that they are moving into the uncharted territory of blockchain democracy. Many countries are already entering the blockchain democracy era. For example, Estonia, which has a history of independence in less than 30 years, has surprised the world by converting its entire national system to a blockchain. Finland also is using blockchain technology to secure fundamental economic rights.

Another example is Australia’s liquid democracy experiment that was conducted to try to overcome the structural limitations of representative democracy with the voting rights system. This experiment incorporates the market economy principle of Australia's new political party flux, Crypto democracy, which uses a blockchain cipher system to design a new social administration system.

Professor Cho finally finished off by adding, “the current mindset of National Assembly should not be passed on to the next generation. In order to start governance blockchain democracy, it is necessary to have enthusiastic citizens participating in creating a network of accurate and rich information, like National People’s Party cafe on the Naver platform.

Professor Byung Wan Cho has published thirty-six books on Industrial Revolution (PPT) in the fourth industrial revolution with most patent in the related field as well as doing consulting for smart city and fourth industrial revolution-related research and business.
