Replace 90% of the Currently Implemented Enterprise Blockchain Platform within 18 Months by 2021.

According to a survey by Gartner, a US based consulting firm, by 2021, 90 percent of current companies will have to replace 90 percent of their currently implemented corporate blockchain platforms within 18 months. It also estimates the business value added by blockchain to be around 200 trillion won by 2025.

Other research conducted earlier by the company estimates that the value of business added by blockchain will increase significantly to $176 billion by 2025, and $3.1 trillion by 2030, but generally slow down company's blockchain launch.

According to Gartner's senior research director Adrian Lee, who conducted the survey, such consequences are due to the overvaluation of corporate blockchain and the complexity of decision-making in introducing blockchain.

As for the tendency of companies to overestimate blockchain, "many CIOs (CEOs) overestimate blockchain capabilities and short-term Merit as a technology that supports achieving business goals." That is why "it creates unrealistic expectations when evaluating products provided by vendors or service providers on blockchain platforms."

Moreover, as the main reason for the decision-making problem when introducing blockchain, the vendors of blockchain platforms have failed to give proper explanations to companies.

It points out that there are many cases in which companies do not have a clear understanding of how blockchain, transaction, security works and are achieved and how they can benefit the business relative to the existing processes.

Since blockchain is still at its initial stage with low usage, there are confusions around such technology. However, we expect to see expansion of blockchain technology and speed up market stabilization due to the increased usage in the near future as mentioned prior.
