It's literally astonishing Mark Zuckerberg is now planning to roll out his GlobalCoin on the Winklevoss Brothers crypto exchange, Gemini. Talk about letting bygones be bygones. I mean, I saw The Social Network. These guys all went to Harvard together. And collaborated to launch Facebook ("Drop the the."). The twins row in the Olympics, Zuck becomes worth some $65 billion at one point, and a judge rules along the way Mark owes the suave lookalikes $65 million, and that's that. But hold it right there: the Winklevii go long bitcoin, make a boat load of money on bitcoin, launch an exchange, take in presumably a couple cool billion on their own, Zuck losses a hefty $10-20 billion as everyone on the planet accuses him of being a spy & stealing personal data; Facebook pivots: - "We love the TV show 'Silicon Valley'; Let's do crypto!" - and they reckon, the past is the past, reportedly call Gemini, along with Coinbase, Jump, and DRW, according to the FT, and they all decide: "It's on." The sequel is going to be fantastic: "The Social Network II: The Crypto Follies". Come on, I kid. What I love about this more than anything - because we all know how much the world needs another alt-coin - is the spirit of forgiveness. Life's too short; move on. You turned the ball over; next play.
