International Blockchain Verification Evaluation Forum(IBEFORUM) Preparation Seminar Held

International Blockchain Evaluation Forum (IBEForum) preparation seminar was held at Hanyang University Rehabilitation Center on June 27th at 7 pm.

This event, which was attended by more than 100 people, included lectures by Professor Park Su Yong on “the Future of Blockchain” and Professor Cho Byung Wan of on the “4th Industrial Revolution Korean Blockchain Business Direction and Roadmap.”

As Professor Park Su Yong lectured on the future of the blockchain, he touched topics such as the value of the blockchain, the change in the blockchain and the market, and the future outlook of the blockchain.

Professor Park told attendees, “Korea has excellent technology and skills but it is behind in many areas. I hope that Korea can be ahead in the blockchain industry.”

Professor Cho Byung Wan also touched upon various topics such as the 4th industrial revolution in this era, artificial intelligence robot & brain science in the 4th industrial revolution, life and society, new disasters and safety accidents, new transportation, new economic paradigm and emergence of a blockchain society, basic direction of CPS-blockchain computing, blockchain computing industry 4.0 smart city, blockchain CPS-market, blockchain computing artificial intelligence robots and healthcare business, smart learning, new concept defense weapon systems em, 4.0 smart enrichment fisheries, smart finance, and economic change.

He specifically emphasized the future development of smart cities with blockchain-based and raised audiences interest.

Following this, Chairman Lee Yun Keun announced the launch of IBEForum with detailed information and roadmap conferences that are scheduled in July. Afterward, he also communicated with the audience through QnA sessions with participants from university student reporters, the general public and experts from evaluation team as well as those in IBEForum evaluation team.

He stated, "as the blockchain-based business become more active, the evaluation and verification of blockchain and cryptocurrency are becoming more important than ever. Questions such as whether a business legitimately blockchain-based, a business model can be applied in the real-life, a business has any legal issues that could arise problems in the future,etc, are all important to check. We need a group of international experts to assess and verify whether this can be a legitimate business and this is he purpose of IBEForum.”
