Error of ‘Main Net Service Philosophy’

Let’s say a company is preparing to open a large restaurant with 300 seats. The executives want to practice the philosophy of providing the service faster than neighboring restaurants. Although other restaurants are competing for faster speed, the executives are confident that their restaurant would provide the fastest service based on its own cooking and serving system.

 

However, do customers really want faster service in the restaurant?

They might want to visit the restaurant for better tastes, interior, atmosphere, slow food, healthy, and many other purposes.

Founding philosophy is completely different from service philosophy. Service philosophy refers to the service spirit provided as the consumer becomes the customer. On the other hand, founding philosophy should reflect the founder’s social change vision and mission of providing health food, the best taste, and happiness to customers.

Focusing on speed competition comes from the error of failure in differentiating the service philosophy and founding philosophy. While ‘Ethereum’ and Macdonald led social changes by introducing the founding philosophy of speed for the first time, the executives of big restaurant concentrated too much on successful cases.

That’s way I feel sad about the recent competition over main net speed in the crypto business.

Vitalik Buterin’s philosophy of replacing the Bitcoin with much load and utilizing the Ethereum through high speed was clearly a philosophy leading the social change based on innovation.   

However, the follow-up controversy over main net speed is just a service philosophy which is not creative and necessary at all. The customers wouldn’t be moved even if a newly starting franchise advertises by “You can get your hamburger faster than MacDonald”.

I believe that obsession over the main net speed is the error of service philosophy created by the developers’ fantasy of creating the system faster than visa card payment speed under the fantasy and pressure of using coin instead of cash or card for purchasing products at daily life.

Crypto Economists designing the main net should look back on whether customers want happy life through social philosophy or speed through service philosophy.
