2018 Korean Blockchain Academic Conference

The Korea Society of Blockchain (under the president, Professor In Ho from Korea University) held a conference, Korean Blockchain Conference at Jukjeon Campus of Dankook University on June 7th.

With the theme of blockchain based future, many experts such as Professor Park Soo Yong from Sogang University, Professor In Ho from Korea University, Professor Park Yong Beom from Dan Guk University, Professor Hong Seung Pil from Sung Shin Woman’s University, Professor Jo Min Yang from East Seoul University, and more participated in this conference.

During the welcome speech of the conference, Professor Park Soo Yong said, “ the blockchain technology is a technology that has a great influence on the real world. It is a technology that is important to change the future industry and everyday life. I hope this conference can fuel diverse researches and discussions to bring lights to the blockchain technology.”

Professor In Ho added, “we prepared academic conferences on the topic of 'future society based on block chaining' to better prepare for the researches and industry cases we have compiled in advance. Professor Park Yong Beom, the chairperson of the organizing committee, continued, that the blockchain technology is now entering a new stage of convergence with other technology, and looks forward to experience such in the future.

The event began with registration at 8:50 am, followed by Hyperledger and Ethereum tutorials in the morning. The tutorial is a form of teaching that explains the possibilities and ways of presenting examples and solving them.

Many useful classes such as IBM Park Se Yeol Permitted Blockchain hyperledger Fabric concept, architecture, differentiation strategy, using hyperledger composer to create business network, business models, and implementation of smart contract through a distributed application were held.

Mr. Kim Tae-won, the representative from Glosper also explained the definition of ether-network of Scalability, the waxing tendency of Ethernet network, and Dapp, based on ethereum, and how to introduce practical project through bug testing and smart contract practice during development.

In the afternoon session, △blockchain R & D road map △blockchain price guideline △base technology of blockchain △current trend of blockchain research trend △blockchain future society and more led to high interest.
