Singapore Fintech Festival

It's been a week after the Singapore FinTech Festival but the work of Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) has not stopped. Pleased to launch a report, together with EY on the adoption and awareness of FinTech solutions by SMEs under our umbrella initiative "SMEs Go FinTech". The event was graced by Poh-Koon Koh (Dr), Senior Minister of State at Ministry of Trade and Industry and Deputy Secretary-General at National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and co-organised by NTUC U SME and Networked Trade Platform (NTP). In summary, the report shows that (a) trust and awareness are the greatest challenges for FinTech adoption amongst MSME in Singapore, while (b) collaboration between FinTechs and banks are essential for the development of solutions to meet consumer demand and (c) High FinTech adoption driven mostly by adoption of payment solutions. In the coming months, there will be a series of initiatives under #SMEsGoFinTech to address the gaps and pursue the opportunities that are highlighted by the report.
