“RootStock” is the first open source smart contract platform that offers 2-way peg to Bitcoin. It is a blockchain project that allows Bitcoin miners to actively participate in smart contract revolution by providing them reimbursement through merged mining.

RootStock’s purpose is to add value and functionality to the Bitcoin ecosystem by enabling smart contracts that are close to instant payment and high scalability.

RootStock also uses a system that exchanges tokens at a 1: 1 ratio with Bitcoin. Therefore, ICO and private pricing are not formed.

 

RootStock has built partnership with a number of companies involved in Bitcoin. Among these companies, Bitmain has garnered attention when CEO Wu Jihan introduced RootStock as one of the seven technology development projects of Bitmain this year. It explains why investors are paying attention to RootStock.
