Blockchain for Social Impact

Wow what a successful event we had and so many exciting projects! Yesterday evening took place the pre-Hackathon event #BlockchainforSocialImpact happening in a couple of weeks at #TelAviv. A 3-hour meetup dedicated to share, explore the possibilities of blockchain infrastructures, their applications to world’s critical issues. I’m stupefied to see how fast studies evolved in a year, we see arising projects from industries as energy, food production, public transportation or real estate, we also better understand how to manage data of endangered populations. What’s clearly palpable is the need to prove solid, sustainable evidences behind each deployment and, that the whole decentralized architecture remains stable and delivers trustworthy information. #DLTs’ implications are highly competitive for corps and challenging for the global public: we will have to overcome technological barriers, organizational matters, #governance, #regulations and the culture of #trust will reveal adoption issues. We also explored #Libra the new global currency by #Facebook. I’m really glad to see so many passionated people come together to conceive, build and collaborate with other groups to efficiently leverage new platforms and bring values to the #socialenterprise.
