Amazon and Alibaba, Two of The World's Largest Online Shopping Mall Has No Plans To Launch Alibaba's own Cryptocurrency.

According to the US Fortune, two of the largest Internet shopping sites, Amazon and Alibaba are not expecting to issue their own cryptocurrency.

Facebook's recent announcement of its own virtual currency Libra is spreading repercussions to governments beyond just the social issue in the cryptocurrency industry.

Patrick Gauthier of Amazon Pay claimed, "amazon doesn't judge things by guesswork. When we do new projects, we make judgments based on data. It's not an equalizer to be able to make something and to implement it. When I feel that there is a strong need, I'll act on it."

Also, China's largest e-commerce Alibaba Pay is making similar moves to Amazon. Eric Jing, the CEO of Alibaba's Pay Ant Financial, said in a media interview that "the idea of distancing oneself from virtual currency remains unchanged from before," just few hours before Facebook announced Libra's white paper.

On the other hand, experts in cryptocurrency and traditional finance experts say, "at this point, we can't say that the virtual currency industry is still regulated. The key to Facebook's success is its response to regulations. On the other hand, in order for cryptocurrency to stabilize, it is really important to adopt the right guidelines. 

As for Facebook's recent release of its own virtual currency Libra project, the French Finance Ministry is reviewing its request for a safety guarantee, and the U.S. Congress is preparing to hold hearings while issuing a statement urging the company to suspend the project. Facebook's Libra project is expected to set an important precedent for other companies' entry into the cryptocurrency market.
