“Vulnerability Affirmation” in Numerous Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Platform

Requested to Security Professional group ‘HakcerOne’ from February 13th to March 13th, a month-long security check has revealed that in 13 company of blockchain and cryptocurrency platform, 43 vulnerabilities were pointed out.

According to research result of ‘Hard Fork,’ vulnerability platform included MyEtherWallet, Tendermint, Tezos, Monero, Brave, and Coinbase platforms. Also, gambling platform, regarded to have numerous vulnerabilities, ‘Unikrn’ had the greatest amount with 12, and for the following, ‘OmiseGo’ was revealed to be pointed out by 6. Out of those, EOS with 5, Tendermint with 4, Tezos and Augur with 3, and MyEtherWallet, ICON, and Monero each earned 2 bug reports. Brave, Electroneum, Crypto.com, Coinbase each was pointed by 1 vulnerability.

Since the vulnerability report of HackerOne is closed and therefore the detailed contents are uncertain, as the number of cost is low, which was paid to hacker who provided vulnerability report, it seems like the importance of bug is not that high.

Actually, during this research, what was paid with the highest price was Tendermint, with 8500 dollars, and the next is EOS developing Block.one, with 5500 dollars. On the contrary, Unikrn, which had the most point outs, had lower price of 1375 dollars.

HackerOne said: “Price of overall security request is very low comparing to number of vulnerabilities,” and “as a result, if we make a decision based on price we paid to white-hackers, there is a low possibility of finding significant security problem during this research.”
