ATACLUB Signs Advisor Contract with 5 Global Sports Stars

In January 07, ATAclub(AThletes Association club, www.ataclub.io Representative : Chayong Lee) said that national sports hero Gukhyeon Lee (Director of Korea Taekwondo Association), president Nojun Park (President of The Korean Association of National Team Members), professor Jeyup Kim (Vice-president of The Korean Association of National Team Members), coach Ohkyeong Im (Director of Korean Olympic Committee), and Jeonggu Jang (Hold record of winning 38 times (17 KO) and losing 4 times in WBC light fly-weight class champion) will be participating in ATAclub as advisors.

Integrated blockchain-based sports platform ATAclub said that the global sports stars participated in ATAclub for promoting developing of sports industry such as sports event and marketing. ATAclub also said that the global sports stars will be cultivating the promising talents and vitalizing the life sports.

ATAclub’s sports advisor is composed of competent athletes with talents as sports instructor and they were formerly active as professional sports player.

ATAclub explained that cultivation channel is designed to help promising sports talents to secure money from crowd funding and receive instructors from ATAclub advisors.

Representative Chayong Lee of ATAclub said “The main purpose of ATAclub is to vitalize amateur and life sports industry instead of professional sports industry and to establish related ecosystem”. He also pointed out that “In the past, the sports developed focusing on professional athlete or professional sports. However, as standard of living improved and leisure time increased, more people got interested in life sports. Nevertheless, the related ecosystem is poor compared to professional sports”. He also said that ATAclub will make a market focusing on life sports.

Representative Lee also suggested that “Although there are only 50 professional sports, there are countless number of life sports. The participants of life sports reach up to 60% of the world population. When ecosystem for life sports is well established, it will create a market bigger than the professional sports”.

ATAclub plans to hire more than 10 sports coaches or athletes in the future and get advises on platform development and operation. ATAclub also aims to hold various sports event targeting the coming up 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Professor Gukhyeon Jeong who will be participating in ATAclub as advisor holds a record of winning 4 World Championships, gold medal in Olympics, and winning all international contests. He is also in the Guinness World Book for winning world contests 4 times in a row for the first time in the world. Jeong is currently a professor at Department of Taekwondo in Korea National Sports University.

Also, president Nojun Park was the representative baseball star for no-hit, no-run in Sunrin Internet High School. After becoming a professional player, he served as baseball commentator and leader of Heroes, and Centennial Investment Baseball Team. Currently, Park is the president of The Korean Association of National Team Members and professor at Woosuk University.

Professor Jeyup Kim is the star of Korean judo field. He won gold medal and silver medal in 1988 Seoul Olympics and he is currently teaching students at Dong Seoul College.

Coach Ohkyeong Im was selected as the world’s best handball player in 1996. She is the actual person of the movie Forever The Moment (2007) and she is called the living history of Korean handball field. She is currently serving as coach in Seoul City Hall female’s handball, SBS handball game commentator, and secretary general of The Korean Association of National Team Members.

Jeonggu Jang is former WBC light fly-weight class champion. He holds a record of winning 38 times (17 KO) and losing 4 times in professional match. His record has been the all-time no.1 in international boxing ranking site, Boxrec. Especially, he clarified his strong will of teaching down unique champion skills to life sports participants through ATAclub platform.
